At the Howes Insurance Agency, we take pride in our ability to connect with our clients and provide them services and coverage according to their unique needs and life goals. Although our work is extremely rewarding, the desire to make a positive impact within our own community became synonymous amongst our staff members. Our goal has always been to protect and serve individuals and families. For this reason, we strongly feel like giving back to families that need it the most should be part of our agency’s daily operations too!

More than 2.6 million people in Florida lacked health insurance at some point in 2017, according to data released by the U.S. Census Bureau. That means approximately 13 percent of the state’s population is uninsured. Florida continued to be higher than the national average of 8.8 percent. Even more staggering is the increase in the number of uninsured children from 288,000 in 2016 to 325,000 last year, a rise of 13 percent! Unfortunately, that indicator is expected to rise even more!

Seeing that this is so, our agency has decided to support local initiatives in central Florida such as children’s hospital foundations in order to make sure kids with cancer and related life-threatening diseases have access to state-of-the-art treatments. Our goal is to provide relief by making sure families who cannot afford it can take comfort knowing that their child will receive adequate treatments and thus maximize their chances of seeing their little ones healthy once again.
